REHEARSE, SHOP, EAT, REPEAT

After a fun afternoon rehearsing, my friend and colleague, Shaun and I decided to take a stroll along Oxford Street .... in the pouring rain!

Dashing into John Lewis we join the hundreds of people pretending to look at the perfumes and cosmetics whilst they dry off!

Many people are being ably assisted by the attractive staff who have cleverly decided to advertise the make up by wearing every single item on their faces .... and that's just the boys!

"Don't get me wrong, I've done this kind of work when i've been 'in between' acting jobs and the temptation to dab a little Touche Eclat under the peepers of a morning is all too real!"

Moving on, we popped into Zara where I tried on ...

1 - A distressed denim body warmer that wouldn't look out of place in Edina Monsoons wardrobe

2 - A fleece trench coat which, when looking in the full length mirror, prompted me to say "Hello Gorgeous", Fanny Brice style

3 - A powder pink cardigan which I hastily removed before anyone saw a sad 42 year old desperately trying to 'get down with the kids'!.

Shaun, now looking tired of the live stage version of Ru Paul's Drag Race as I worked the shop runway, suggested we go and find some food so we sashayed away!

It was then that we accidentally stumbled through the gates of steak heaven!!

Steak And Co on St Martins Lane has so far passed me by, but you can be sure to find me there a lot from now on. Bringing you a rare steak on your own personal sizzling skillet with your choice of butter, sprinkles and sauce, the fantastic staff took me through the steak etiquette. Melt the butter (i went with a wholegrain mustard flavour), cut and cook the steak to your liking (adding the sprinkles, seaweed salt in my case), dip in the sauce (pepper sauce ... always pepper sauce) and enjoy the melt in your mouth sensation. Absolutely delicious.

Even if steak isn't your thing there's plenty more on the menu! Shaun went with a large vat of chicken wings which were equally delicious!

Sorry 'Flatiron' .... but there's a new hunk of beef in town!!
